Action packed, exciting and gripping!
This was a fantastic, seemless continuation of the story, with all the drama, suspense and steamy romance of the first book. I loved book 1, and this surpassed my expectations, I was hooked from the first pages, and on the edge of my seat for a wild ride! I can't wait for the next book to find out whats in store for Wren and her harem, with more of Melissa Schwairy's beautiful narration. I received this book in exchange for my honest review.

Fabulous Story & Narration🎧 An Exciting Adventure!
Mysti Parker & Lindsey R. Loucks continue to wow me with this fascinating series. I loved the first book “Emergence” be sure to read and/or listen to that book before starting this one because it is one continuous story and adventure. Wren is no longer the lone vampire, she learned who her mother really was, the Queen of the Southern Vampire”. As the plot thickens we are learning that it may have been her own sister, Ravena, the current Queen who was behind her murder. Wren had been on a mission to avenge her mothers murder but now she is on a new mission, to uncrown Ravena and take back the empire that is rightfully hers with the help of Zach and her two mates, Ashe and Charles. Each one of them is a character, despite a bit of a rivalry and some bickering they do make a great team. This book is just as captivating and action packed as the first. The story is cleverly plotted with drama, thrilling and exciting action, twists and turns, fun quirky moments as well as heartfelt and emotional ones and some hot sexy times. I am looking forward to what comes next for these amazing characters and Wren’s third star and mate. Thank you for another fabulous story!
Melissa Schwairy is a talented narrator and versatile voice artist. She continues to bring these characters to life, giving each their own voice and personality, as well as heart and attitude. Her portrayal of the characters is spot on, makes each character her own and then plays the role with perfection. She is an entertaining storyteller and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for the great listen🎧

Loved it!
Defiance was the perfect followup to the Emergence and a wonderfully-written collaboration by two talented and imaginative authors. Immediately, I was hooked! The storyline is well-composed, well-plotted, suspenseful, action-packed, witty, and thoroughly entertaining. The characters are the best part of the series; they are diverse, bold, appealing, and their chemistry is absolutely electrifying.
Melissa Schwairy's narration was spot-on; she portrayed the character's personalities very nicely, bringing them to life. All around, this was a fantastic listen, and I enjoyed every second of it. I'm definitely recommending this audiobook!

Good storyline
This book has likeable characters with good personalities. Melissa give a fantastic performance and brings these characters alive so very well. Very enjoyable.

The plot continues
Wren is still trying to find the rest of her harem so she can defeat her aunt who killed her mother and took the thrown. I love the acronym for the group but I’m sure this review wouldn’t get approved if I posted it here 😂
