I had not been familiar with the dynamics of the DD/LG and AB/DL dynamics before, and despite not being able to relate to these interactions, I benefited from learning more about them. I appreciate the depth and complexity behind the actions and behaviours that the characters displayed, and I think the author did a very good job in flashing out the background and back story of things that can so easily be subject to misunderstanding and misinterpretation.

I did wonder about the plotline involving one of the earlier characters - Jason - who ceased to be mentioned from a certain point onwards. I would have liked to have heard what happened with him, and I was dissatisfied with that apparent loose end.

The narration was very good for the most part, but the narrator did pause or hesitate at odd moments in some sentences, which was distracting and detracted from her otherwise very good work.

Overall, a good listen. I wouldn't mind listening to more books by this author!
