About this listen

Warning: This is an extreme horror novel. There is gore. There is bad language. There are scenes of a sexual nature. But hidden underneath it all is also a chilling story. Please do not purchase this audiobook if you are easily shocked, disgusted or offended. This book is not for you.

"Extreme Horror" is a not something I knew that existed or that I'd like but since getting to know the author I thought I'd try one of his books.
I'm thoroughly glad I did.
The warning on the cover is fully confirmed but the content had me hooked. I don't know if that says more about me, but I shall be seeking out more of Matt's other work.

Do judge a book by its cover

I read this book a few years back and recently realised Matt Shaw was on audible. (Yes, I appear to have been living under a rock for years)
If you know of Matt’s work - you need no review. If you are new to this author - you are in for a sick ride - enjoy!

It does what it says on the tin!

Would you consider the audio edition of Sick Bastards to be better than the print version?

I loved both the print version and audio version of sick bastards. The audio really brings the story to life and makes you part of it excellent narration by Chris Barnes.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Sick Bastards?

There are alot of eye opening scenes in this audio. My favorite is when the family first sit down to eat the meat.

Which character – as performed by Chris Barnes – was your favourite?

I liked all the charachters but my favourite is brother. The things he gets up to when at home and exploring outside really open your eyes. Chris makes him a really strong and believe able charachter.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes I would have loved to listern to this audio in one sitting.

Any additional comments?

A must for all audio horror lovers.

Not for the faint hearted.

The story was good enough, if a little thin and tedious in parts.

Shocking? Not compared to Crossed by Garth Ennis!

Excellent narration
