Dark & thrilling!
In the mood for a dark romance? Then I suggest you go grab this amazing book! This is my first EL Emkey listen and it definitely will not be my last. Archer has been born into a brotherhood, filled with despicable people and has grown into being as sinful as all the others. He has his eyes set on Mila. Mila seems innocent but as Archer pulls her in, he sees just how strong she can be. Love can make someone do drastic things, and this book is full of deception and betrayal. But Emkey masterfully weaves a love story into the craziness and danger that the brotherhood brings. I was invested from the start, loved the history that was learned, the building relationship and the twists and turns this story takes. It's a wild ride and I cannot wait until the next one!
Angelina Rocca and Sean Masters are so good together and perfectly cast for the darkness this book has. Rocca starts the story off, and Mila is sweet and her slow change into the wild woman she is all comes through in a narration that is impeccable. Masters brings out the dark, dangerous feel as Archer. He knows how to make chills run up my spine as Archer shows his evilness. These two are so good and made this listen incredible.

Terrific Story & Narration🎧 Diabolically Twisted & Amazing!
E. L. Emkey, a ‘new to me’ author, blew me away with this impressive romantic suspense, a dark and twisted ride like no other and one you can not tear yourself away from because you need to know what happens next. This book is Archer and Mila’s story and there are parts that may take some out of their comfort zone, so be sure to check the content warnings if you have any triggers. That said, when I first met Mila I was thinking she was a sheep in a wolf’s world, but she proved me wrong over and over. Archer, the devil, was born into a secret society, a brotherhood, and is as evil as the devil himself. He not only had his eyes on Mila, but he had plans too, so he had to have her and bring her into his world, regardless if she can survive it or not, facing tasks no one should have to face. I am being vague because it is best to go in into this book without spoilers, and go in for the ride, a wild ride with dark and twisted turns that will blow your mind and have your heart racing. This multi-layered story has plenty of drama, angst, thrilling and suspenseful moments, heartfelt emotions and steamy romance. The writing, plot and world building are incredible, as are the character growth and development. E. L. Emkey, thanks for the terrific story and wild ride.
🎧📚🎧 Angelina Rocca and Sean Masters deliver an amazing listen and audiobook experience with their heart pounding performance. With character voices that were fitting, they owned their roles, sounding believable in each one. Rocca nailed it as Mila, showcasing every aspect of her personality, her fierceness, strength and determination, while Masters did the same as Archer, grasping his personality and demeanor perfectly. Both were fantastic performing the roles of the side/secondary characters too. These two make a fabulous narration team, with voices and talent that complement each other and a performance that takes the already amazing story to another level. They are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to.
