About this listen

Deanna Madden, aka Jessica Reilly, hasn't touched another person in three years. She hasn't left her apartment. She makes money from performing to webcams on a sex site, where her clients pay $6.99 a minute for her time. She's doing all right. The dollars are piling up in the bank. She's the number-three model on cams.com. And she hasn't killed anyone for years.

But when Deanna sees on the news that a little girl called Annie has gone missing, the story rattles her carefully ordered world. It's uncomfortably similar to the dark fantasy of one of her most disturbing online clients. She's convinced he's responsible for the girl's abduction - but no one will listen to her. So, after three years, Deanna finally leaves the apartment. And this is what happens....

Unique and compelling

Honestly couldn't put it down - absolutely loved it! A unique perspective with classic twists, definitely worth a read.

Brilliant in its originality!

I could find only one minor fault in it's storyline and some of the accents and voices used were a little undifferentiated, but overall, both the best psychological and erotica fiction I've read or listened to!

Excellent

Something different to the boring serials. The story isn't totally convincing, but good enough for a good thrill!

Quick listen

Would you listen to The Girl in 6E again? Why?

I just liked the story. I plan to listen to it again at some point.

What did you like best about this story?

The idea itself, the pace, the main character.

Which character – as performed by Jorjeana Marie – was your favourite?

The main character, obviously. And the IT guy as well. I hope that if there would be a sort of continuing, he would be there.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Although I suspected that this was the case, the scene in the family house, when Deanna returns, was disturbing and catching and moving at the same time.

Any additional comments?

I have to say I went into this 3 for 2 sale only because of this book. I have no idea how, but I knew that this was something that would take mi in, and it did. I have never heard of the book or the author before but was not disappointed. It might not be a kind of book that would bring you into immense intelectual heights, but it entertains and this is the point. I listened this in 3 days, which is, taken my normal listenings and my current bussiness, an incredible speed. Could not put this down, used every moment for it.
There is a lots of kink in it, but I do not think of this as an erotic or a porn novel. For me it was purely descriptive and added to the whole atmosphere, but naturally I cannot think of this a film. The characters seemed real for me, although the main protagonist was more than odd.
The narration was enjoyable and I think Jorjeana Marie did a good job. At least for me.
I would recommend it to all who are into self-described novels with kink included and odd personalities involved. For myself I can say that what is advertised on Audible is what you get.

Fantastic and gripping

[Trigger warning at the end]

A fantastic book. Brutal and gripping from the start, I finished the whole thing in less than 48 hours.

Some important trigger warnings are: murder, domestic violence, and CSA.

Tame thriller

I enjoyed the book.
But it was very tame. Would recommend to people who like thrillers but are sensitive souls.

It was okay

The narrator is excellent! The book is well written with a good storyline but I didn’t find it thrilling or gripping, and the ending was satisfying enough that I don’t feel the need to carry on with the series.

You can’t help but be pulled in

Fantastic series. Graphically sexual without being corny. I can’t wait to listen to the third book.

An enthralling story

Not for the faint-hearted: some graphic details of sex and violence but a gripping and unusual story with twists and turns right until the very end! An excellent listen!

Mind blowing, exciting

First off the narrator was sensational, I will look for more books she has narrated. she brought Deannas character to life. I felt all the emotions and was able to picture the story in my head.
Great writing from the author, a very unusual story line which was pleasantly surprising. I started this book on a recommendation but never looked up the blurb, honestly I was expecting an asylum or hospital type book from the title so when it became apparent very soon on I was way off, i enjoyed it even more. i liked how the story came together, characters etc. just downloaded the 2nd book and can't wait to find out where this will go....
