About this listen

The crown weighs heavy on my head, and the Castle University’s ivy-clad walls have become a gilded cage. As the dust settles from betrayal and bloodshed, I stand amidst the wreckage, not just as a mafia heiress, but as the Queen in a game where hearts are for the taking and every move could be a deadly trap.

The men I've let into my heart are the pillars of my reign. My strength. My weakness.

In a world where loyalty is measured in blood, we stand united, because when the swords are drawn and alliances shatter, it's not just my love I'll fight for—it's their lives, and the future of an empire built on a legacy of our pasts.

The gambit is set, the players ready, and I must make my move. In this war of intrigue and danger, it's not just about winning—it's about surviving.

This is the second book of three in the Kings of Castle series, a dark academia reverse harem with plenty of TWs—see author's website for details. Takes place in an entirely fictional world set in the UK.

no sparkles just steel!

What can I tell you about The Queen without giving any spoilers? Hmm it carries on from the previous book, The Kings and it keeps on running. As you know we were left on a cliff as we waited to see the aftermath of the wreckage at Castle University and we don't stop for a second, neither do the characters. They grow and build their alliances, find out who some of their enemies are and prepare to be the mafia family they have become.
There's more darkness, more mafia and more heart stopping moments.....including a cliff hanger to beat all others.
Eve Newton is a queen who wraps her stories around you until you don't know which way is up and even your own name at times. This has so many warnings that need to be needed. Do not expect sunshine and sparkles - it's based in the UK so no sunshine and it's dark Mafia so no sparkles - unless you count the glint of steel.
I cannot tell you amazing I found this book, I thought I loved the characters in The Kings - oh my unbeating heart is going like a freight train with this one. A must read for lovers of the dark Mafia Rh family. When you can feel the sticky stuff on your hands and smell the copper in the air, you know the book is that good!
