 エミーは、生まれつき脊椎に障がいがあり、車いすで学校生活を送る12歳の女の子。車いすで宙に舞い、大ジャンプをキメるモトクロス選手にあこがれて、放課後は自宅の庭にあるパパ手作りのジャンプ台で練習を重ねている。
しかしエミーが乗っている「車いす」は日常生活を送るためのもので、大ジャンプをものにするためには、モトクロス用の高性能な車いすが必要。
そこで、親友のアレエと一緒に、二人それぞれの夢を叶えるため、手作りのバッグや拾い集めてきた木の実や植物を売るオンラインショップを運営し、売上は上々。特にバッグは、車いす使用者目線の便利グッズとしてファンも獲得し、コツコツと着実に、夢に向かってつき進んでいた。
そんなある日、学校でエミーが「転倒」した。
学校の支援の対応はエミーの望まぬ方向へ進んでいき、友だちや家族との関係までギクシャクしていく･･････。
「人は知らないことについてはまちがいをおかすものだ。だから、対話し続けるんだ。人に伝えて教えて、そして人から教わるんだ」という作中のセリフが胸にしみる感動作。
