爬虫類のペットショップでアルバイトをする金本篤は、売れ残ったフトアゴヒゲトカゲが処分されそうになるのを見て、店長に譲ってくれと頼む。だが、提示された金額はあまりに高額で手が出ない。「ある男」を強請って金を得ようと一計を案じるのだが、自ら仕掛けた罠が思いがけぬ結末を呼び込んでしまう……（「場違いな客」）。
