About this listen

Being a single parent is not anyone's first choice, but there I was.

Nobody can prepare you for the journey you are about to embark on, and it will look different for everyone. After a decade of trying to navigate this, I believe I can be of some assistance to others who are trying to cope.

Through this, I wish to make a humble attempt to be a guide. I intend to provide all kinds of support to all single moms struggling with:

  • The judgement we face as single parents
  • Establishing a routine to help with our daily, as I like to call it "hot mess"
  • Taking the high road when it comes to co-parenting (It is possible, I swear)
  • Dating? Yes, advice for the bittersweet journey of dating
  • Taking a look into how we can improve our financial situation
  • Most importantly, self-care! The key ingredient to being our best self

After listening to these tips, you will definitely feel that your voice has been heard by someone who cares for you, and your prayers have been answered!

I am not a single parent myself, but I was raised by a single mom and have close friends who are single moms so I was intrigued to read/listen to this book. This book has great tips for single mom in regards to finances, dating, co-parenting and more. Loved how relatable the author was and how she shared her own experiences as well! Overall a great short read that I would highly recommend to any single moms out there!

Ms. Witkowski does a wonderful job of telling the story of single moms and what they have to deal with. Always surround yourselves with positive people and supportive people! That is one theme of the book, which really is for everyone! I love the information about dating and being single, whether you should introduce the person to your child or not and if so, when. Lots of good information and advice for single moms.

This book is EVERYTHING. Delete, block, walk away. YES YES! As a single mom you are scrutinized under everyone's lens and to be able to have healthy boundaries is CRUCIAL! It is extremely healthy to create boundaries with people outside and even your own children it's a great model to find. I also enjoyed all the tips to create more of a family unit and to become closer. If you are looking for a guide that can help you organize your single mom's life or just to get some ideas on what and how this is your book!! 10/10 recommend!

This book is short and sweet. This book covers a lot of ground in a short period of time, touching on some very important detail s for single mothers everywhere. From managing daily chaos to finding ways to co-parent, which can be challenging to say the least. The real benefit of it being so short is that it’s easy to work into a daily routine so you have a pep talk any time you need it!

This book gives a real insight into motherhood, specifically the single parent. Both mom or dad will benefit from listening. It's quick and to the point. This mom understands the kind of time pressure we live under. Reminding us how important self-care is in making us better people, therefore, better parents—lots of helpful tips from experience. I highly recommend this book.

Motherhood is already hard when you have a partner, I cannot imagine what it must be like as a single mom, It amazes me where they get their strength and energy from, something to be admired in my mind rather than judged! This book is an amazing guide, written by someone who has gone through it herself and can completely relate. Some of the advice here, specially around self-care, is universal. I thoroughly enjoyed this audiobook!
