جميعنا نعرف "نادر فودة" تلك الشخصية التي برع الكاتب احمد يونس في بناءها حتى بات الواحد منّا يبحث عنها في يومه وبيته ومن حوله، فهو يعمل في جريدة "عمق الحدث" هذا ما نعرفه وهوايته بالتأكيد هي الركض خلف التحقيقات الصحفية الجديدة خاصةً تلك المتعلقة بعمارة الفزع !!

في هذه الرواية يعود الصحفي نادر فودة بقوّة لكن هذه المرة بصحبة "كسّاب" الغامض..المرعب...والذي لا يعرفه أحد!!

تبدا الرواية بمشهد مغاير للعادة حيث ملامح العزاء والبكاء تُحيط بالموقف وجثة "نادر فودة" ممدة على السرير ويبكي الجميع على رحيله؛ أمه وأخته ووالده وروحه التي تقف بعيدًا غير مصدقة لما حدث بعد !!

لكن المفاجأة الكبرى ستأتي بعد هذا المشهد مباشرةً...
