As an Indian I have grown up with the history of Indian Independence gleaned from many sources (grandparents, family, books, documentaries) but this beautifully conceived and executed audiobook puts everything succinctly and in order of historical events. The narrators tell the compelling story calmly while giving the historical background and talking about the personalities involved. For me, it brought together all the various strands of knowledge gathered over time …

I really enjoyed this beautifully narrated history of India's independence. Being somewhat ignorant to the wider context and even some of the key events during the struggles, it helped me put things into a chronology and made me want to delve further back into the history of the region, as the narration provided a clear and highly engaging account of events.

Would highly recommend!

Beautifully written and narrated by two young teenagers, Aarush Kumbhakern and Ayur Pulle, this is a wonderful insight into the history of Indian Independence. Suitable for young and old alike, it brings to life some of this mesmerising history, accompanied by lovely Indian music. Highly recommend.

A Breif History... managed to find the perfect balance between informative and interesting. I really enjoyed listening to the book and felt like I got a lot out of it. I'd recommend this audiobook to anyone who loves a deep-dive into history

Being a 10 years old British Indian in London, I have learnt a lot by simply listening to this audio book. Ayush narration was excellent and made my listening very interesting. I definitely recommend my age group to listen to this audio book and learn the history of Indian independence in a quick & easy way. My dad also told me that this audio book has got great summary for anyone to learn the history of Indian independence.

This was such a great find. Who knew that this little gem of Indian history existed in audio form? Absolutely loved it!! It is so hard to find a history audio book that can hold your attention span from beginning to end, yet the two voices manage to do exactly that. The script is crisp, clear and concise and the narration is excellent. This perfectly formed audio book delves into the details of Indian history and gives a well rounded understanding of it in just over an hour. It was certainly an hour well spent for me! Thoroughly enjoyed it. Highly recommend.
