About this listen
Mia has lived a life full of harassment, for an affliction not many understand. She thought college would be different, her escape, after all, people there are more mature, right? She was wrong. A rebellious girl, Vee, saves her from a bad situation and teaches her that every single day is a gift. A romance blooms between them that not even time can erase. This is the second book in the Music of the Soul series, all books are stand-alone novels.
©2013 Erik Schubach (P)2014 Erik SchubachI also have this in my Kindle library, and one advantage of the audio is it's not blighted by the editing errors. Admittedly compared to some the errors aren't too bad, but they are annoying.
The story itself was a nice little romp. And although tissues might be required, I felt the end of the story really didn't work. It seemed very rushed and a bit unbelievable, that's what gets the lower rating.
Narrator did a good job, the only problem I had was hearing her talk and wanting to put the words from 'Music of the Soul' to her voice. I got around that problem by making sure I had a decent gap between hearing that audio book and listening to this one.Yes, that's how much I have listened to 'Music of the Soul' because I'm getting to know the words off by heart.
An added bonus as far as I'm concerned is the fact you don't get a book bogged down by unnecessary erotica. For whatever reason far too many stories seem to be no more than soft porn these days. I know erotica has its place, but I hate when you read/listen to a book expecting a drama/thriller/western/crime and you end up with it falling into nothing more than the soft porn category.
So for those of us who don't mind a bit of erotica in the story, but hate when that's all a story ends up as, books like these are a breath of fresh air.
Ending lets it down.
