About this listen

A Laird for All Time: Dr. Emmy MacKenzie feels the time is long overdue for a vacation. A twist of fate at the gates of the ancient castle of Duart hurls Emmy more a hundred years into the past and into the arms of a magnificent highlander who thinks she is his long-lost wife, Heather MacLean!

A Time & Place for Every Laird: On the run, Claire and Hugh cannot hide from the undeniable desire that ensnares them and both must face their pasts, the loss, and heartache if they hope to discover that there is a true time and place for every Highland laird.

Taken: An ancient claymore sends Scarlett slipping back 500 years to a time when her modern struggles are dwarfed by a far more dangerous conflict brewing between Scotland and England.

Love in the Time of a Highland Laird: When she was pushed into a wormhole, Allorah "Al" Maines never imagined she'd be thrown back in time, land at the feet of a gorgeous Highlander...and be taken as his prisoner.

A Laird to Hold: Laird Hepburn spent years enjoying his wife's tales of the future world, but he'd never expected - or wanted - to see it. Now to ensure the survival of his unborn bairn and protect his family, he must face that alien world head on.

Loved how it all came together.
Disliked the Scottish accent. Didn’t quite hit the mark. But because I loved the story so much I overlooked or grew accustomed to the not so good try of the accent.

The characters

I absolutely enjoyed every moment of this series. The overall story was complex, the characters were very interesting and well developed and their individual stories and how they intertwined was really captivating! 5 start performances by the narrators too.

Not your run of the mill romance series.

I kept loosing my place and where I was with the characters. Every character had the same voice. All the women sounded the same and the same with the male characters. It’s undoubtedly the worse narration I’ve ever heard. This narrator really needs to stick to American accents. I read all 5 books at the same time it’s a free book and I’m glad I didn’t spend money on it.
The story was enjoyable and I liked the way most of it was explained in the end book number 5. Except book 4 now feels unfinished as the storyline didn’t seem connected to the other 4 books.
I’d recommend the box set as its free and you’ve nothing to loose other then 50hrs of your life!!

Enjoyed the storylines but found the narration so bad!

loved every book from 1-5 never knowing what the end would be. Each book told a story and the last book incorporated them all. Excellent writing. Wished there had been 10 books in the series. Well thought out.

always kept me guessing

I have read or listened to dozens of time travel adventure romances and these are right up there with the best of them. The stories took place in various time periods with different characters and interesting scenarios. The storylines were gripping in places but there was lots of humour too. I loved the banter between the characters. I will definitely be looking for other audiobooks by this author.

Superb!

I love the first books, the last seems like an attempt to open the world of the books to encompass another series and does not fit the style of the other books. and the fact that one name is constantly pronounced as Siracha in book 5 breaks my attention every time

skip book 5 😅

I loved the story even though it appears to be a copy of outlander and it really was well written but the awful mock scottish is a massive distraction i am a londoner living in edinburgh so its even worse to my ears its never nye its nay its dinny not dinnay among others i still liked the story though

The awful assassination of the scottish accent

I tried so hard to get on with this but the narrator made it impossible. Perhaps a non British listener would be ok but anyone who has actually heard a Scot speaking would be screaming after 5 minutes. A little intelligent research would have saved it.

The dreadful accent

i loved the story lines, but found scottish mis- pronunciation jarring. Shame the storyline about Hughs brother didn't get tied in in the final book.

Enjoyable

Liked the premise but the sex scenes were tedious. I am no prude but l just cringed at the tedious process.

Dear me the pronunciation
