Beautifully read.
Did get a little boring at around chapter 47, stick with it, because it defiantly does not end as you think it will.

This was a wonderful book. Not an obvious love story.
Lots of twists and turns back and forth a bit like a game of tennis.
Game set and Match. I’ve discovered a new Author and I will be after more. 10/10

Loved it all. I’ve been listening to Jill Mansell for years, and this is one of the older ones which I came across when I was searching through her lists.

Yet again another enjoyable story. My only disappointment was the ‘Cumbrian’ accents came out as ‘Sunderland’ accents and being a Northerner myself this threw me a bit.. But still a very good narrator and enjoyable overall

Jill Mansel’s writing is just a joy, it will undoubtedly improve your day, with its well written easy to read style and unpredictable but still very much enjoyable and easy to follow plot, I wouldn’t want to read anything else!

I have enjoyed listening to the story it has its twists & turn. Romantic as usual if it is written by Jill Mansell.
But I didn’t like the way she portrayed the Filipino maid. I am Filipino and English is second language. We speak good English as most of us are well educated. Next time do the research properly .
