I read this book in the early 80's and i must say i remembered very little. I'm so pleased i did listen now. it is such a beautifully written book and the narrator did the book justice and some. it was most enjoyable. All sorts of emotions. a true heroine in every sense of the word. this is a book about a scorned woman who did right. Loved it.

Sometimes, everyone around Emma were too nice to be real, but I admire how BTB built her character throughout the book.
After reading the book many decades ago, I found the audiobook just as fascinating and the narrator did an amazing job
