Just brilliant.. loved the enthusiasm from Matt’s reading this … an excellent audiobook I felt he was just sat next to me chatting away … so relaxed and made my journeys home from a stressful day at work so much better … totally distressed after listening to this each day by the time I got home

Matt certainly imparted the love of his family farm and caring for nature in this book x His humility shone through

As much as the jolly feel good Durham personality has grated on me in the past, I do realise that he is a hard man and the perseverance he's had through his life is amazing. He also cares a lot about the things that are important to our country and he's spent a lot of time raising awareness and putting time and effort into protecting and influencing those things (farming, education, sport etc.)
Just a wait until he gets knighted now.

We have enjoyed the series so I knew I had to download the book! I loved listening to it whilst on my runs! Coming from farming families I loved this! What a wonderful family you have and thanks for making the series, I hope there will be more!

After listening to this book (for about the third time) especially following the recent tv series, I would love to be adopted by the whole family. Matt's love for the farm, the area as well as his family is very touching and his sincerity is palpable. I am sure he could find plenty to talk about in another book and as soon as possible please. Lovely, natural narration.

I remember Matt starting on Blue Peter and following his career from that point. Working in agriculture myself this book is brilliant at representing the struggles and joys of farming. Great listen.
