About this listen

One day Alice follows a white rabbit down a rabbit-hole and finds herself in the topsy-turvy world of Wonderland. Animals talk; Alice shrinks smaller than a mouse and grows taller than a tree; there's a grinning cat - and Alice goes to the strangest tea party you could ever imagine.Classic stories brought to life for young listeners in dramatised readings with music and sound effects.

Big Alice in wonderland fan, thought the stories would all be the same so went for the cheapest i could find. It has been horrendously adapted. All the original elements have been switched to more American friendly versions. For instance the cakes for boxes of sweets the race for a dance off. Maybe for kids it would be ok, but its worth spending more and getting a better, truer version.

Ok for kids but prefer the classical version

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

To feel like a complete story! It seems to just END. There's not ending and no second story available.

What could Hodder Children's Classics have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

Not a good dramatisation - weirdly adapted.

Did the narration match the pace of the story?

Yes. It was fine.

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from Alice in Wonderland (Dramatised)?

I'd ADD to it. Not a lot in there really.

Any additional comments?

Where's the rest of the story?

Dodgy Adaptation
