Critic reviews
"Haunting...dangerous and desperate, but also full of courage and hope." (The Guardian)
"Morris Gleitzman has a rare gift for writing very funny stories and an even rarer gift of wrapping very serious stories inside them." (The Guardian)

What a great and eye opening conclusion
I am an adult, but I thought the book was a really good and Inter read!

Always be alone when finishing such a series!
What a rollercoaster of emotions these 7 books have taken me on! Often shocking, and incredibly thought-provoking, Morris Gleitzman always conveys the power of close relationships and love to overcome tragedy. Having parents who are still alive, just, who are only a little younger than Felix and born before the war made Felix's life journey all the more real - realising how blessed, even sheltered, some our lives are compared to those that lived through the atrocities of War in Eastern Europe (and still do).
This series is totally absorbing. I have listened to them all on Audible - while driving to work, doing the housework and walking the dog! And - for your good protection - always plan to be alone when finishing book 7 - walking through the village with my dog, on a beautiful autumn morning with tears streaming down my face was a little embarrassing!
