About this listen
It’s time to meet the family...
Rory Kincaid’s in a spin. He’s leaving his London life to spend Easter deep in the countryside with boyfriend Jack De Lacy and Jack’s wealthy, aristocratic family. Rory’s under pressure to make a good impression, but with no class, connections, or money, he’s not so sure he’ll be welcomed with open arms - especially when they find out how he and Jack met.
But will the family want to meet Rory?
Jack’s convinced his family will love Rory as much as he does, but it’s not the plain sailing he thought it would be. With their age-old traditions, it’s not long before Rory’s presence is sending ripples through the calm waters of the De Lacys' settled, rural life.
It’s a testing time for Rory and Jack. Can they convince Jack’s family that two men from opposite sides of the class barrier can be not only who the other wants, but needs?
Note: This book contains a village fete bake-off for the coveted golden ribbon, a cuddliest pet competition, and the undying devotion of a dog called Badger. An Easter Promise is a short novel.

The performance from the narrator is also very important for me. I can't listen to a lot, because my English as a non-native-speaker isn't so perfect to follow a whole story over hours, when the narrator speaks too fast or too sloppy. Normally I have to SEE the person, who is talking to me in English. It took me a little bit, to come into the narrator, but at the end, it worked. I only have to take a few breaks between. I'm just not yet finish with the book, I’m over the half, but I listen enough to give a review.

There's not much else I can add to what I wrote in my review of the ebook back in April 2019 so my review from then is shown below.
A wonderful sequel to A Kiss Before Christmas.
An Easter Promise is a great follow up story to A Kiss Before Christmas but I'm not really sure you'd have to read it first to enjoy An Easter Promise. I highly recommend it, though, because it's one of the best MM Christmas stories I've read.
Jack and Rory are making their first visit to the country home of Jack's parents. That would be stressful enough on its own but when you add in the fact that Jack's family are wealthy aristocrats Rory is really nervous.
It wouldn't be an interesting story if there weren't some conflict, so it was no surprise to learn that Jack's mom had some reservations about Rory. The way it all played out is what makes A E Ryecart's writing so good. I shed sad tears and happy tears before the story was over and I loved Jack and Rory even more than I did at the end of A Kiss Before Christmas. I wouldn't mind reading about this couple again in a follow-up story.
A complimentary copy of this audiobook was provided to me but my review was voluntary and not influenced by the author and/or narrator.
Some angst, some tears; I loved it!

With a bit of research Rory finds that they are in his mind, way out of his league.
Jack assures him that his parents will live Rory with judging him, is this really how Jack's parents will react?
A homeless person, brought up on a housing estate, normal education and no family. Do they hide Rorys past and how they met?
Once again Dan does a brilliant job narrating in his wonderful seductive tones.
Can't wait for book 3.
Another great installment.
