About this listen
A magical mix of Noel’s unique brand of stand up comedy, live animation, music and some of Fielding’s best-known TV characters (such as The Moon and Fantasy Man). There will also be muscular support from special guests including Mike Fielding (Naboo/Smooth).
©2015 Universal Pictures UK (P)2015 Universal Pictures UKHe refers to what he's wearing a lot, we obviously can't see this as audiobook listeners.
Do not recommend.

How has Noel Fielding aged? Not great. I wanted to like this, but it was a larger proportion of drek to anything amusing. He keeps reminding us he is 41 as if to pre-empt our owns thoughts of "have you learned nothing more than this along the way?" He makes up childish scenarios that only he (and a generous Australian audience) find funny. The chicken boy stuff is just one long cringe. He flags it up beforehand and debates it afterwards. Whereas he should just cut it out entirely. There are no jokes or anything entertaining about it. He can call it a concept but it does not work and is nothing more than him doing a dubiously racial dialect. Likewise Joey Ramone which requires visuals that aren't available on audio only. I stopped about this point (with 40% unlistened) as the jury was back in and it wasn't good news for Noel.
I will always admire him for the verve, originality and art of the Mighty Boosh but this is one to quickly forget. Even though it was free as an included title it did nobody any favours. He seems like a nice guy and I hope he gets back on track with a new project rather than just retreading old favourites like the moon character etc which he is in danger of tarnishing. Maybe Julian Barratt was the guiding light that steered them away from gash like chicken boy? Maybe they only had a few ideas and they were all used up by the end of Boosh?
In summary: could try harder and lacks integrity or any heart.
not mighty, and very little boosh
