Summary

1952. With smog blanketing London, little Grace is in trouble. Her grandmother is dangerously ill but she doesn't want Grace to tell anyone as she's worried they will take her away. But with no money and their food supplies dwindling, what's a little girl to do?

Winnie Berry knows something is wrong when she catches Grace trying to steal some food. And she soon realises it won't be long before Grace is alone in the world. The big-hearted owner of Battersea Tavern, Winnie has taken in more than her share of waifs and strays. But will this orphan child be more trouble than she's worth?

The fourth standalone saga in the beloved Battersea Tavern series, AN ORPHAN'S HOPE is riveting.

Yet another fantastic story.

Loads of twists and turns. Much happiness, some sadness. The perfect recipe for a good book! I’ve loved all the others in this series. Hopefully there will be another. Please have Annie Aldington narrate again. She compliments your books.

Excellent final book

This is yet another cracking listen from Kitty Neale. I've enjoyed all the Battersea Tavern book and Winnie has become like a good friend. Highly Recommended listen. Annie Aldingtons narration was top notch as usual.

Loved the Characters and the Storylines of the trials and tribulations of the Battersea Tavern!!

I loved all the books in this series and this one did not disappoint great writing and I did not want to stop reading. I had the book on audio and listened whenever I got the chance particularly during the drive to work on a busy weekday and a Perfect ending!! Only sad now it’s finished 🙂
