Ane er i rigtig dårligt humør. Hun skulle have været på besøg hos sin far, men han har aflyst, fordi han er syg.
I stedet leger Ane med Nina. Mest fordi Nina spørger - ikke så meget fordi Ane har lyst. For Nina praler altid med alle de ting, som hendes familie har.
Derfor kan Ane ikke lide hende. Men måske er der mere til Nina og hendes familie, end Ane lige tror? Ane-bøgerne fortæller om Ane og alle hendes oplevelser både i skolen og derhjemme sammen med venner og familie. Per Gammelgaard (f. 1948) blev uddannet bibliotekar i 1973 og har siden da skrevet en række digtsamlinger. I 1981 debuterede han som romanforfatter med "Er du hjemme, Johanne?"
