About this listen
“Us. We’re okay, aren’t we, mukka?” (Jack Harrison)
Video footage of Jack sleeping with Cutter, a man who mutilated teenagers for his own sadistic streak, should have stayed dead and buried with the man who had filmed it. Yet when footage of Jack’s past starts appearing on internet porn sites, Jack’s whole world is again turned on its head. At first the porn links are done to unsettle, to disrupt Jack’s fire-and-ice world: all the sexed-up adrenaline of being caught between the pleasure of Gray Raoul’s BDSM kink and the gentleness of Jan Richards’ vanilla touch. But when the content of the porn sites force even Gray to turn his back on Jack, leaving Jack isolated and away from the full protection of the Masters’ Circle, Jack is left at the mercy of a group of men who are out to alter Jack’s whole perception on his BDSM lifestyle and the reality of being Jack Harrison.
As brutally as possible, Jack’s sex life is now a live webcam feed for a whole new audience.

Dark and intense
Oh my. I've read more than my share of "dark" stories in multiple genres, but listening to Dan Calley's performance and actually hearing the pain happening in this story to Jack, Gray and Jan is something else. Trust me that this was not one I sat down and listened to for extended periods even. I wanted to see where the author would take things, but the emotional impact of this required listening a bit and then taking a breather. Definitely the darkest audiobook I've listened to, but the characters have grabbed me and won't let go, so I'll be listening to the rest of the series with whatever the hearing equivalent of peeking at a scary movie through the fingers covering your eyes is.

👀😯😬😣😤😵😍 just a snippet of my emotions whilst listening
I received this audiobook by the author and this is my honest opinion.
Oh My God ! what an intense listen. The boys certainly went through the motions in this book which I knew was going to happen but flipping heck it really brought it home having basically lived through it with the characters, their voices, pained, uncertain, scared. I think because you could hear what they were feeling and the consequences of what they had to deal with, it becomes more real then when your reading it in your head. I take my hat off🎩 to the narrator for a bliming good job, to hear Vince and Henry and someone who must not be named( and someone who was probably not heard from again💀) being brought to life was good. We really got the feel of their sadistic cruel natures. I'm loving gray, Jack and Jan. A really highly emotive listen but like with all good things sometimes the journey getting there is hard and fraught with potholes. An avenging gray is a scary prospect and of course soft lad Jan. Really well done listen.😀

Mesmerising
Get ready for your heart to be squeezed so hard. Between Jack L Pyke’s mesmerising story and Dan Calley’s smooth narration I was caught. I had to keep listening to find out what was happening to Jack and Jan. More importantly why were they targeted and abused. The depictions of the psychological games are very well crafted. I just had to stop and listen whilst I inwardly railed against those harming Jack and Jan. Excellent book that is perfectly narrated.

Raw emotional journey
This second book in the series had me on the edge of my seat from the start. It is not a book for those easily upset by the dark themes included. It is so well written you cannot help but feel the pain of Jack, Gray and Jan as they experience the torture, abuse and mind games designed to pull them apart. The question is are they strong enough to get through it and can their love keep them together or mean they are better alone?

Dark
I enjoyed book 1 but I really enjoyed listening to book 2.
Subject matter is not light and fluffy but very dark, oh and that twist I did not see coming....
Now straight on to book 3...

Stunned beyond words
This book is incredible. Beyond words captivating. And so so dark. But so real too. My god, how Jack L. Pyke can write like this no one knows. And then Dan Calley’s audio performance is completely out of this world and has added so much to this story.
Makes sure you read the trigger warning. It’s oh-so-incredible but not for the faint hearted.

Powerful
This one is even more powerful than the first, and I love it. There is so much darkness and twists and turns in this one book that you just can’t stop thinking about it. I had to pause it to let parts digest and in other parts I registered just to make sure I heard what I thought I did. This book does not lie, it is dark so very dark and enjoyable.

Faultless
I started this after reading and listening to the discretionary warnings and got through the first few chapters effortlessly. Then...bam! I put my Fire and ebook copy aside, read and listened to a bit more the next day, and the next, then reached that point where I couldn't stop.
I don't know what it is. The writing is faultless and I'm thoroughly invested in the 3 main characters (Jan is my favourite). The development of the plot is breathtaking and I lived every minute of it. The chance to see a more "human" Gray is worth waiting for. I did realise who is behind things and the probable reasoning fairly early on, but it didn't spoil my enjoyment.
Narrator Dan Calley is excellent once again. I love all his different voices, even the female ones, and I swear I hear Jack's "f" word in my sleep!
I have both the audiobook and ebook of Book 3 already and can't wait to see where things go.
