Mark Cavendish is the first British cyclist to win the Tour de France's green jersey, the first to wear the iconic rainbow jersey in almost 50 years and our only ever rider to capture the Giro d'Italia points title. He is the most prolific sprinter in the Tour's history, and - according to L'Equipe - the best sprinter of all time. Would you listen to At Speed again? Why?

No because the person narrating this book that has a lot of French/Italian/Spanish references and names does not have a clue how to pronounce them. Surely if you are narrating a sports persons book you would have someone that vaguely knows how to pronounce the riders names. This really lets it down although is slightly comical.

What was one of the most memorable moments of At Speed?

Nothing specifically was memorable it is a good biography

MC is a controversial figure in many ways and what he says is not always easy to hear, but he does have an integrity to his profession and a good sense of humour. Covers the rise of the UK Olympics and early days of Sky / Brailsford really well. The 2023 season is an important one so it’s a great way to get revved up for the year. Thanks!
