  • Weather in 5, 10/5/24 Tropical Storm Milton in the Gulf of Mexico is forecast to strengthen to a hurricane Sunday night and a major hurricane Monday night or early Tuesday. It is tracking east northeast and will landfall along the Florida west coast Wednesday as a major hurricane. Elsewhere we have small areas of severe weather risk in the Western Great Lakes tonight and in parts of Ohio, Pennsylvania, Western NY into West Virginia late Sunday into Sunday night. Showers could move through the Northeast and Mid Atlantic Sunday night followed by a chilly dry air mass that will be around most of next week in the Northeast and Northern Mid Atlantic states.
