Micheal and Court get some Disney Lorcana lore, the upcoming MARVEL release for Magic the Gathering, dish about the CATAN National Qualifier hosted at Funk, as well as the fun world record attempt of LARGEST TTRPG EVER PLAYED!

    Games like CATAN, Pandemic, DIXIT, Arkham Horror, and Ticket To Ride, so frequently appear on the shelves of board gamers, along with box art that sports the accolade of winning multiple awards.
    These have become “modern classics” in our world and must be for some reason. What makes them and many others “must play”, “must own”, and for an LGS, “must carry”?

    Let’s go through a few of the “modern classics”, CATAN, DIXIT, Dominion, & Pandemic. We share our experiences with them, but also comment on their success, reasons for why they’ve stood the test of time, and what newer games might join the ranks of these prodigious games.
