Made Me a More Present Partner
Before listening, I thought my job was just to “help out,” but this totally reframed fatherhood for me. It encouraged me to be proactive, emotionally available, and involved in the small stuff that really adds up. It even gave me ways to support my wife during the pregnancy that I never would’ve thought of. Now I feel like we’re more of a team, and I’m going into this with a whole new level of awareness and intention. Seriously grateful for this one.

Excellent advice for new dads
This is a wonderful book that explains everything in a way that’s easy to understand. It presents all the most important must-knows, such as exploring pregnancy support tips and supporting your partner, as well as newborn care and handling the emotional side of fatherhood. I really liked that the advice was real and offered many useful tips that make you feel more prepared (and a little less overwhelmed). If you're about to become a dad for the first time, this audiobook is a solid choice. It won’t magically make you a perfect parent, but it will definitely help you feel more confident and ready for the journey ahead.

Finally, a Dad Guide That Doesn’t Talk Down to You
As a first-time dad, I had no idea what I was doing—or supposed to be doing. This book made me feel seen and way less alone. It breaks everything down in a way that actually makes sense, without being all clinical or condescending. I especially liked how it didn't just focus on the baby, but also on what we go through as new dads—like managing stress, helping our partners, and balancing work and home life.
I was surprised by how useful the week-by-week development guide was—it helped me feel more connected even before the baby arrived. The sections on labor support and postpartum stuff were eye-opening too. It’s not just about diapers and swaddling (though that’s in there too—it’s explained in a way I could actually follow). Definitely a solid read for any guy feeling overwhelmed by everything coming his way. This one's staying on the nightstand for sure.

Thoughtful and Reassuring Guide for New Dads
This book offers a clear, down-to-earth guide for navigating the early stages of fatherhood. The tips on pregnancy, newborn care, and emotional readiness are practical and easy to apply, making it a solid starting point for anyone feeling unsure about what to expect.
What stood out to me was how it emphasizes being an active, supportive partner—not just in the delivery room, but throughout the entire journey. It also addresses the emotional side of becoming a dad, which often gets overlooked. If you're looking for real guidance without the fluff, this book is a great companion for the road ahead.

New skill unlocked!
“Becoming a First-Time Dad” is a thoughtful, practical, and emotionally intelligent guide for new and expecting fathers who want to show up fully during one of life’s most transformative experiences. This audiobook strikes a perfect balance between offering concrete, actionable tips and fostering a mindset of growth, support, and emotional presence.
What’s especially refreshing is how the book normalizes uncertainty, anxiety, and even fear around new fatherhood. It doesn’t gloss over the tough parts but instead arms you with strategies to cope and grow. The sections on communication during pregnancy, preparing mentally for labor and delivery, and managing the early days of sleep deprivation are golden.

Finally, Something Just for Dads!
Most stuff out there feels super mom focused, so it was refreshing to hear something that speaks directly to new dads like me. This audiobook didn’t sugarcoat things, but it also didn’t make me feel like I needed to have it all figured out. It was honest, encouraging, and really helped me understand how I can support my partner and bond with my baby from day one. If you’re about to be a dad, this is 100% worth a listen.

Learning how to be a parent
Becoming a dad is a big responsibility. Having a child is exciting and a blessing. I like that the author shared her experience as a nurse to expand her health knowledge and strengthen her relationship. I like that the author included things parents can do when they travel to fully prepare themselves whenever a newborn child comes into life. Pregnancy is something that I, as a dad, need to take seriously and help my wife whenever she needs it.

Great Audible for My Son, An Expecting Father!
With my son just eight weeks away from becoming a dad, I wanted to find something practical, insightful, and actually helpful. This guide is exactly that! It covers everything an expectant father needs to know, from supporting his wife through pregnancy to preparing for labor and handling those first overwhelming weeks with a newborn. I love how it breaks things down in a simple way and gives real-life tips. The week-by-week baby development section is a great touch, and I know my son will appreciate the advice on balancing work and parenting. I am excited to see how prepared this audiobook will make my son!
