this is the last in this series of books and it is really a shame as I have enjoyed them all. Kate Branagan is a very likable detective and the stories are well written. I have also enjoyed the Narrator who has a good range of voices. I know her adventures end in the 90's but I would love to have more stories.

Not sure about this book. The story line is ok but it is all a bit neat. I enjoy the characters and their interaction, relationships hope the next one has a better story.

My title says it all really. This series is not as good as the authors other books - Tony Hill & Carol Jordan or Karen Pirie, for example. It maybe because these stories are shorter or that Kate Branigan is telling the story of her cases, but I think that it's to do more with there's more detail going into the appearance of the characters and what their wearing, haircuts, clothes,etc. and the descriptions of the places, landmarks, weather, etc. that I get bored with.

Please, Chloe Massey, slow down your narrative when the story’s suspense increases! Your excitement adds appropriate atmosphere, yet your speed sometimes doesn’t give the listener sufficient time to pick up on all the actions and feelings of the moment.
Thank you for your excellent voice ‘painting’ of each of the characters - it is easy to distinguish one from another.
