Janice Cole Hopkins always brings me a story brings peace to my soul. This book is about Boone. Always thinking he will never be better than his family, he vows never to marry. He will not subject his wife to his certain misfortunes. He is a good man, and brings a moral and constant, positive feel to the ranch and its hands, but when it comes to Lydia, he shrinks away. There is something about Boone that Lydia sees, and being the woman that she is, will wait until he is ready to realize he is a good man. But will he ever get there? Hopkins takes us on the journey of faith and love as these two muddle through and find what is truly important. I love Lydia and her faith in Boone. She knows just what a good man he is, and her love shines. Boone is frustrating, but I love how he changes through the story. This is a fabulous listen.

Todias Coleman brings out all the feels as he tells this story. He has great male and female voices and easily transitions between them. I could feel the true emotions in this story and it made it pleasurable to hear.
