This was just the beginning, I’m definitely curious where things with Hannah & Reed are heading.

The narrator was great for Reed, but I struggled with him narrating Hannah’s POV. Sometimes I had to go back a bit to see who was speaking.

The heroine Hannah in this book was very naive. She has some strong characteristics, but she allowed her past to get in the way. Reid it to be more upfront with Hannah and not keep her in the dark. Over all this book kept me wanting more. As always I always love to hear Rodney Falcon narrate.

Intriguing

This is a surprisingly enjoyable story. It's somewhat tame compared to most books in the genre. The storyline is well-paced and interesting, keeping the listener engaged. The characters are well-developed and intriguing. Hannah is innocent in the ways of the world with terrible luck in men. Reed is a contractor for the government, who saves Hannah from a trafficking ring.

The narration by Rodney Falcon is fabulous. His performance is flawless. He did a great job of bringing the characters to life. Overall this is an enjoyable book, and I can't wait to hear the rest of the series.I was given a free copy of this audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.

The main character for this book is really interesting. I really enjoyed reading the alternating POVs as they showed how each character viewed themselves and each other in the circumstances that they are in, and in that, showed their feelings, trust and emotions towards each other. Interaction is quite realistic as well, given the situation and I am glad it did not go in ways where the female starts behaving unreasonably since she seemed to be a smart character. I do find it irritating that the female character does not seem bothered by her circumstances or how she ended up where she is. Feels like she is strangely devoid of feelings or thoughts at certain point.

Their slowly blossoming relationship is cute to watch as well. The only downside is that the main character's career seems to border on being too convenient for him, and little is written about it eventually. Everything just seemed to be rushed over or briefly mentioned, which feels like a waste, since that was what made the story interesting in the first place.

Narration by Rodney Falcon is well done, he did a nice job in bringing forth the emotions of the characters and the pacing is nice. The calmness suits both characters well.

This one is a fantastic introduction to the darker side of romance. It’s not as dark as others that I have listened to but is still very compelling and you get a fair dose of story for such a short novel. Loved Rodneys narration

Bought is a good beginning to the Owned Series. It is my first book written by Derek Masters, and it has my attention. I'm looking forward to the continuation of this story in Bent. Rodney Falcon has a nice voice and does a good job bringing this story to life. I received this audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this unbiased review.
