Summary
The pressure of being Earth's champion builds....
As Nicholas Winterhome builds his own city in the wilderness, he strives to make sense of a world full of foreign powers. His strength in battle might not be enough.
It'll take wits and determination to survive; and if he wants to sleep at night, he'll need someone he can trust to watch his back. It's time to find some allies.
Book two in an action-packed LitRPG apocalypse series from the invader's perspective. A monster evolution story with elements of cultivation, base-building, ally-recruitment, a detailed system, power progression, and all the things listeners of LitRPG have come to love.

Good second book
Good second book in the series, bit slow for the first 3rd but picked up nicely as the book progressed.

A good book but not as good as book 1
This book has plenty going on but its not as strong or as polished as book 1 where the world created was full of nice or interesting details. That said its an enjoyable listen but the next book would benefit from more solo exploration I think. The worldbuilding and lore of the system is a strength of this story.
I struggled with the book but the Narrator did a fantastic job and made the audiobook more enjoyable. Inkspur continues to be my favourite as his voice and lines are brilliant.
This audiobook was well worth listening too and the story interesting but the main characters focus on his old home makes him less fun. In my opinion His goals are less interesting as saving a world or people who might not be worth saving is boring.
I look forward to the next audiobook.
