About this listen
Annie Hancock is finally following her dreams, studying for her graduate degree to become a professional artist. But when someone starts to leave threatening notes around her studio and dorm, Annie can’t help but wonder…who’s after her and why? She doesn’t know who to trust or keep herself safe.
Arrow has been grinding for years as a bounty hunter and private investigator. After setting down roots and opening his own office, his business doesn’t take off the way he’d hoped. Just when he’s about to change course, a beautiful woman is in desperate need of his services.
But what starts out as a simple assignment becomes more complicated when they’re forced into hiding. And as the threat gets closer, and the attraction becomes hotter, they’ll need to decide if what they have is real or driven by danger.

Excellent Story, Characters & Narration🎧
Chelle Bliss does it again and pens another winning novel set in her “Open Road” series, a romantic suspense that grabs your attention right from the start and holds it hostage for the entire book. I am a huge fan of Chelle Bliss’ writing, her stories and most of all the stars of those stories, her characters, each one just as amazing as the other, in their own way. The world building is fantastic too. This fourth book is Arrow’s and Annie’s story. Arrow, aka Josh, a former bounty hunter, opened his own Investigation and Security business, which is not doing that well. He rents space in a strip mall owned by the Disciples MC, who has legalized most of their businesses. Annie Hancock is following her dreams of becoming an artist and entered a graduate program at the university. Someone was leaving strange notes left for her at her dorm and when the messages get more alarming, she was frightened enough to search for a private investigator who could provide security. After visiting several P.I. she found one who sounded like he cared and knew what he was doing, one she could trust, Josh. Josh takes on her case, looking at every angle to find out who is behind the notes and why. There was an instant connection between Josh and Annie, and what starts off as a fake relationship turns into something so much more than real. I loved how everything played out in this book, also loved how the Disciples step up to help one of their own, despite Arrow not being a sworn in member. This wonderfully plotted story has it all, drama, a touch of angst, some mystery, thrilling suspense, heartfelt emotions and steamy romance. Chelle Bliss, thank you for entertaining me with another amazing story and emotional rollercoaster ride.
🎧📚🎧 And for the fantastic narration, Chelle Bliss chose the perfect cast to bring her characters and stay to life. Lance Greenfield and Kristen Leigh did an amazing job portraying these characters, giving each a voice that was fitting, sounding believable and just as I pictured them to sound. Greenfield’s Arrow was spot on, grasping every aspect of his personality, and Leigh did the same for Annie. Both were just as amazing performing the roles of the secondary characters, too. They sent the perfect tone for the story, captured all the characters’ emotions and had you feeling them all. These versatile voice artists are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another fabulous listen.
Note for Audible: I am resubmitting this review for the 3rd time, original submission Dec 5th, I had contacted customer service in regards to the delayed posting of reviews, issue still not resolved. Another great story from Chelle.
If you like your stories with a side of suspense then BROKEN ARROW is the book for you. Annie is an art student who keeps getting disturbing notes. She enlists Arrow to help solve the puzzle, and he becomes her alpha. Protection is his job, but he’s never felt the possessiveness he does with Annie before.
With cameos from the other couples from the series, which is always fun, you can’t help but enjoy this kind of fake-dating romance.
The pace is good, and the buildup is nice. There’s a sprinkling of spice.
I enjoyed the connection between Annie and Arrow and felt that Kirsten and Lance did a good job of narrating this one. Kirsten gives us all the emotions of Annie, and Lance embodies the protector in Arrow.
A great addition to this series.

Good Listen
Annie thinks she is just having issues on campus, she did not know her life was in danger. She has now hired someone, Arrow to help her and her life is turned upside down. She learns that she can trust no one because the lies are everywhere. She and Arrow develops feelings but those are also an issue. Is it real or just because they have to stick together. Good quick story.

Fantastic Read
I really enjoyed this read it had an interesting storyline with a few twists and turns, the epilogue wasn't your typical one either. I feel like Chelle Bliss is coming back to her original roots with this book. Would definitely do a re-listen on this one.
It was fantastic to hear a different female narrator for one of Chelle's books, Kirsten Leigh & Lance Greenfield did an amazing job pulling the story together.

Keep 'em coming, can't wait for what is next
What I love most about Chelle Bliss books is that they're stories, not just romance. It's easy to relate to & connect with the characters. There's a plot, suspense & romance. They're funny, witty, action packed, sexy, heartfelt. I love that she's always introducing new characters but brings back previous characters from her other books so you get snippets of "where they are today"
I also love that she doesn't just choose the "popular narrators" and that she seems to choose select them based on their fit for the character themselves.

Love Annie & Arrow!
I don't know how she does it, but Chelle Bliss had me fall once again for an amazing man! This book is fantastic, and if you want to enjoy it at it's best, I recommend grabbing the first books in this series. This does stand alone, but they are all so good, and characters do overlap. Now, Annie is in college, struggling to figure out where she fits in her major and now she is getting threatening notes. Not knowing what to do next, she seeks out the help of Josh/Arrow. Private investigator that he is, he is immediately drawn to the case. But what she wants is a bodyguard. Security it is plus he will work on the case since he is between jobs. Feeling a little safer, the two make up their cover story and the investigation begins. And the notes keep coming and getting more dangerous. Now involving Josh, he is taken in by Disciples who rent his office space to him but will that put them at risk too? Talk about exciting! Bliss keeps the suspense building and the suspects are completely unexpected! I love the connection between Annie and Arrow, visiting with Tiny who just makes me laugh and the family that the Disciples brings. They warm my heart every time!
Lance Greenfield and Kirsten Leigh are voices I love to hear. These two work so well together, and each time is as good as the first. Greenfield is the over protective PI that gives all the feels. His ability to be the tough guy and then turn to mush has me every time. Leigh is Annie, strong, scared, brave, confused, passionate, you name it, she comes through with all the emotions Annie has and it's amazing. Love these two and always look forward to their narrations.

So good
Chelle Bliss how do you continue after all this time to make me fall more and more in love with your work? There is such a feeling of family and dedication in this book that I never wanted it to end. I also love the heat levels in Chelle Bliss’s books. I also love how strong all the female characters are, the men are all alphas but wiling to support the females in all aspects of their relationships.
Certainly not a series to be missed

Well rounded wonderful romance
as a huge fan of this author’s stories, I absolutely loved the deeper melding of her Men of Inked world and this Open Road world. Visits from her prior characters really rounded out a great story. Annie, a grad student, is being stalked. She seeks help and finds Arrow, a private investigator who takes on her case. As usual, the women rule while the supremely alpha men are there to support and protect the women. I love the feeling of true adoration between the couple and how, though short, these stories pack an emotional punch borne of great story telling. There is a bit of intrigue (who is stalking Annie? Who is the good guy, who is the bad guy?) and a lot of steam and love. Humor and banter round out a fast paced story that kept my attention. And the narration of the audiobook? Perfection, making it the best way to live through the story, if you have the chance!

Engaging
I really enjoyed Arrow and Annie’s story. The whole stalker/private investigator story was both interesting to read and held my attention. The romance was good and I loved the girl taking the lead in their relationship. As for the narration it wasn’t the best for me. The female narrators voice was childlike and it tended to irritate me a lot.
