About this listen
Maybe, if we met at another time - another life - he could’ve been mine. Maybe, if I were older. Maybe, if he wasn’t my brother’s best friend. Maybe, if he wasn’t my teacher.
Maybe. Maybe. Maybe.
Having my dirty little secret living down the hall had me obsessing over alternate endings and happily ever afters. I’d never wanted someone so badly, but his hot and cold behavior was giving me emotional whiplash.
In the classroom, he practically ignored me. But here? In my brother’s loft? It felt like we were a thick rubber band, pulled so tight we’d snap.
Falling for Decker Harris made me realize that life wasn’t as serendipitous as everyone liked to think. We weren’t just a collection of maybes thrust into the world with hope and good intentions.
Everything started with a choice, and somewhere between grief and redemption, I chose to make him mine.

Review
I LOVED this!! Reading about all three of them was amazing. I was so worried when she first got to Lance and Deckers house that all of it would blow up in her face. Obviously there were some bumps in the dynamic but I enjoyed it.
I prefer the male narrator in this audiobook, but the voice for Blakely wasn't horrible.
I will definitely listen to this one again.

For me this was a wholesome story and I loved the main characters!!
Made me smile and laugh at times and tugged on my heart strings the others.
Only one spicy scene but it was a good one.
Every book is worth a read this one is work repeating 💕

Emotionally charged!
What happens when you fall for your brother’s best friend? Coralee June’s book, Burnout takes us into a taboo, enemies to lovers story with every emotion. Blakely goes to live with her brother Lance after the death of their mother. His best friend Decker is living with them too while his new home is being built. Blakely and Decker get off to a rocky start, but when their relationship takes a romantic turn, things are about to become complicated. Decker is not only her boyfriend, but her high school biology teacher, and Lance’s best friend. How will this all play out? June features an array of issues in this one, each problem dealt with care and compassion. As you find out the history of Decker, the truths that are spoken and the way each is handled, you too will fall for this couple.
Narrated by Amber Bray and Tyler Darby. This team is perfect for a new adult genre, each finding their niche with Blakely and Decker. It is dually narrated and their voices were a great fit. I enjoyed their performance.

Just perfect
I fell in love with this story when I read it the first time and I’ve fallen impossibly harder after listening to it. Deckers voice is just on point!

Decker and Blakely!
When Blakely’s mother passed away from cancer there is a part of her that is relieved. She doesn’t have much to call her own but she finds out that she has a half brother who wants to get to know her so she ends up moving in with him and his best friend Decker.
Her first meeting with Lance went well but the same can’t be said for Decker. He believes that all she wants is to take advantage of his friend and that she will only hurt him. As he learns her truths he is drawn to her despite the fact that he is her teacher and her brother’s best friend.
A secret relationship ensues that will shake them all to the core and their relationships with each other will never be the same and the twists and truths will keep you entertained until the last page. I received a complimentary copy of the audiobook and enjoyed the male narrator.
