Oh my goodness I loved this story...and The Stone Kings series returns with a bang with book two.
I have to say Levi really intrigued me in book one The SGT at Arms for the MC..he is a man of few words and I knew he would have a great back story.
Levi grew up in a compound which is more like a cult,he escapes that life and makes a new life for himself with The Stone Kings MC..They are now his family...He lives his life the opposite of what the compound believes.
Cherish has just escaped from the same compound..forced to marry a cruel man she could no longer put up with life in the cult...she is now out in a world she knows nothing about and she has no money and no place to go.
The rumours about the only person who escaped without being caught has always been a story within the compound and she aimed to find him and ask for his help.
But when she finds Levi..their meeting does not go to her plans he refuses to help her..and Cherish is heartbroken.
Levi cannot believe his past has come back to haunt him in the form of Cherish ,his MC does not know about his past,and this woman is forcing him to face his history.
These two are opposites Levi is grumpy and dark he has lead a colourful life so far...Cherish is so innocent she knows very little about the world and has lead a sheltered and abusive life.
There is an attraction between them though and eventually Levi agrees she can stay one night..but one night turns into many nights...and then many nights in his bed as Levi shows Cherish what it means to feel pleasure and to feel loved.
But as with all romances nothing goes smoothly mainly because Levi is afraid of his feelings and corrupting Cherish...But its too late when the girl is already in Love Levi.!!
I loved listening to this story Troy Duran and Anastasia Watley are once again an incredible duo of talent telling this story I thoroughly enjoy listening to them...They are always perfect.
I am loving Daphne Lovelings words I think I am getting addicted.
A Fabulous Audiobook.
