Stephanie Cole ("Doc Martin"), Benedict Cumberbatch and Roger Allam ("The Thick Of It") star in the complete first series of the hit sitcom about the pilots of a tiny charter airline for whom no job is too small, but many, many jobs are too difficult. Written by John Finnemore, writer for The News Quiz, and That Mitchell & Webb Sound.
Run by the forbidding divorcée Carolyn Knapp-Shappey (an unfortunate marriage, namewise, but in Carolyn's opinion, marginally better than Carolyn Shappey-Knapp), her two pilots are the smooth, experienced and almost-certainly-fired-by-a-big-airline-for-all-round naughtiness Douglas, and struggling almost-competent pilot and sweaty man Martin. All-round help is provided by Carolyn's near-idiot son, Arthur....

Absolutely the top radio comedy around! All 4 series and the additional episodes Molokai and Zurich are hilarious - brilliantly written and performed wonderfully by a really talented ensemble.What other book might you compare Cabin Pressure, The Complete Series 1 to, and why?
The comedy is quick and clever but also gentle and suitable for most ages - my children adore the series, so I'd liken it to classic British sitcoms such as Fawlty Towers etc. In terms of books I think Finnemore's skill would appeal to fellow Wodehouse fans and his other radio series Souvenir Programme is worth checking out.Have you listened to any of the narrators’s other performances? How does this one compare?
Brilliant performances from Stephanie Cole, Roger Allam, Benedict Cumberbatch and John Finnemore himself. In certain episodes and in later series we are treated to Anthony Head, Timothy West and more great actors.Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Yes! Its a series that I've listened to over and over again and still makes me laugh. I can listen to just a single episode or quite a few in one go and its never wated time. Brilliant for long car journeys when you need a good laugh!Top Notch Comedy

Would you listen to Cabin Pressure, The Complete Series 1 again? Why?
I was vaguely aware of cabin pressure whilst it was on the radio but never switched over to listen to it. I noticed the series on audible at a very reasonable price and decided to give it a go. It is fantastic!The performers are superb and the episodes so funny that I had to stop listening in public as I couldn't stop laughing.
