About this listen
I’m the oldest virgin in major league baseball. And I’m in love with a woman who’s about to marry someone else.
Listen. It’s not like I planned to still be a virgin at twenty-eight. Or to fall in love with the team trainer, who apparently would rather date a guy who wears polo shirts instead of baseball pants.
But life doesn’t always go according to plan.
When I first laid eyes on Lark Miller, I knew she was something special. Unfortunately, so did her boyfriend.
For years I kept my feelings hidden. I accepted my role as best guy friend, and focused on my career. My priority needs to be securing another contract with the Vancouver Tridents so I can help my parents retire. I can’t afford any distractions.
But then the day comes that Lark shows up at my door, and tells me she’s ended her engagement. Not only that, but she’s broken up with polo shirt guy.
And then she kisses me.
My fantasy becomes my reality. Lark wants me. Me. She’s perfect, we’re perfect, everything is perfect. I’ve got the woman of my dreams, and the best part is she understands how important baseball has to be for me right now.
But remember what I said about life not going according to plan?
My name is Dan “Monty” Montgomery: Formerly the oldest virgin in baseball, and now the newest expectant father.

Thanks to Homecooked Books and the author for this ALC - all opinions are my own
The whole book was very light hearted and a nice feel good story. We get one of the best, cinnamon roll MMCs I’ve ever read. I just love the way Monty loves Lark!! The fact that he has loved her enough to stand by and watch as she’s in a long term relationship really endeared him to me. Both main characters were interesting in their own way but were super cute when they get together. The progression of this story and the relationship as a whole felt complete and satisfying in the end.
Amazing job by the narrators. They did such a great job with this dual narration. I couldn’t decide which narrator did a better job with their counterpart characters. I listened to this book straight through and don’t have a single complaint with the audio production.
Such a good series

I'm a massive audiobook fan, so I have loved getting to experience these excellent books again via my favourite medium.
Tim Paige & Victoria Connolly do a fantastic job of voicing Monty & Lark, and all of the other characters in the book, bringing Julia's wonderful writing to life. I'll be listening to all of the books in this series more than once ❤️❤️❤️

Catch Her Heart is the third book in the Vancouver Tridents series. This is Lark and Monty’s story. Lark is the physical therapist/ trainer for the Tridents baseball team. Monty is the sweet, goofy, golden retriever catcher for the Tridents. He has had a crush on Lark since she joined the team, but Monty is a gentleman. When Monty found out Lark had a girlfriend/fiancé he was just happy being friends. It has been several years, and Lark’s boyfriend has now become her fiancé, and she is unhappy and freaking out. Lark comes from wealthy family, just like her fiancé. Their families pretty much have arranged their union. Lark realizes that her fiancée is unfaithful and also unhappy, they break up. Monty and Lark decide to try being more than just friends. This book was so cute and fun. I enjoyed it so much.
Victoria Connolly and Tim Paige did a wonderful job narrating this book.

I really loved the friendship between these two, right from the start. They have a fun back and forth and as obvious as Monty's feelings are to everyone else, I appreciate how there was no overlap in the relationships.
Great narration! Victoria is wonderful as Lark, full of emotion and depth, and her range for the other characters (especially as Dan) is very good. Tim was very well suited for Monty. His performance had really good energy and he and Victoria sound great together, and have complementary pacing and tone.
Absolutely adorable <3

Dan is, without a doubt, golden retriever energy. How absolutely sweet he is paired with how much attention he pays to Lark cemented him into being one of my new favorite MMCs. Every moment between them will make you feel emotions, even if it's just amused, so be prepared for that!
The audiobook for this one was really good, and I enjoyed listening to both narrators. They matched the vibe and emotions that were expressed really well as the story progressed and made the story all the more enjoyable. Highly recommend!

Lark’s future has been all planned out until she finally realizes that not only doesn’t she have any control, but it isn’t what she wants. When she ended their engagement and is needing support the one person she thinks of was Dan however as they spend time together she starts to realize that she wants more than friendship from the man who has always been such an important part of her life.
Dan has always known that Lark was his everything and I enjoyed every minute of her seeing that as well. Tim Paige manages to portray both the inexperience and romantic in Dan while Victoria Paige gives us insight as to what Lark is feeling as she faces life changing decisions.
Dan and Lark!
