About this listen
As the hottest bodyguard on Security Force Omega, Oscar Oliveira has no trouble finding a warm body at any odd hour. But he's ready for more.
And for the first time in this ex-pro boxer's life, he just got rejected. For a kiss.
Oscar's friends warned him not to fall for the straight guy, but flirty, sexy-as-hell Jack Highland made that difficult. Now Jack has Oscar's sweatshirt. His belt. His bandana. And Oscar seriously wants them back.
As for Jack - well, Jack wants a lot of things.
But for the first time in this confident filmmaker's life, he's absolutely 100 percent...confused. Add another ultra-complication in a sea of complicated: Enter Charlie Cobalt.
The enigmatic famous one who Oscar is sworn to protect wants his own show, and he's asked Jack to film it. A Charlie-centric docuseries will force Oscar and Jack to share the same air again.
Option one: Ignore each other.
Option two: Flirt, aw yeah. And act like the rejection never happened.
Option three: Confront each other about the rejected kiss.
With options on the table and their romantic lives unsettled, both Jack and Oscar are concerned about why Charlie wants his own show. And the longer filming lasts, the more tumultuous their personal and professional worlds become.
Chaos reigns when you're around the Cobalts, and Jack and Oscar are swept up among the most destructive one.
The Like Us series is a true series, one continuous timeline, that follows a family of wealthy celebrities and the people that protect them.
The Like Us series order:
- Damaged Like Us (Maximoff and Farrow)
- Lovers Like Us (Maximoff and Farrow)
- Alphas Like Us (Maximoff and Farrow)
- Tangled Like Us (Jane and Thatcher)
- Sinful Like Us (Jane and Thatcher)
- Headstrong Like Us (Maximoff and Farrow)
- Charming Like Us (Oscar and Jack)
- Wild Like Us (Akara and Sulli and Banks)
This has to be one of my favourites from the series😁
I love the characters Oscar and Jack - so well suited!
It was nice to hear more about Charlie, explaining in depth more of his character and that he isn’t the bad boy everyone believes him to be - not all the time anyway.
Excellent storyline and characters, with the usual family characters in cameo.
What I was surprised at was the change in narrators.
Usually used to listening to the dulcet tones of Alexander Cendese and J F Harding. This is the first time I’ve heard these narrators Pallino/Hamilton - don’t get me wrong, they narrated well, just used to the Cendese/Harding duo!
Definitely worth 5🌟’s

I have never been a fan of the meddlesome Charlie but he had now been forgiven. I think and I’m finally starting to understand and appreciate him more. Like him? We’ll see. As always, this was an amazing story on audio and the narrators really brought the characters to life.
Loved it!

The characters are adorable, funny, delightful, and so damn hot! I loved the slight twist of the love interest since it wasn't the usual bodyguard/client story.
It was beautifully written, with great dialogues, and it usually takes me a few chapters to get into the story, but I was impressed at how easily I got hooked with this book.
And the narrators... what can I say? They are superb 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻 those two men can read anything! Gorgeous!
The only issue is that the authors need an editor and fast. Because the book lasts more than it should've thanks to unnecessary plots with the families and extra characters that not only did they add nothing to the story, but they damaged the entire book, since their extra plots were incredibly dull, long, pointless, and took you entirely out of the story to a point where you just skip the audio 30 min every time someone says... my brother or my sister... and you literally missed nothing.
They could've easily cut 5 hours of the book, and the main/good part of the story would've remained intact.
It was a good/ok book, but with an editor, it could have been a great one. A memorable one.
Good book but needs an editor.
