Absolutely great story, and Peter Forbes’ narration was perfect. Really gave a flavour of China in that era. Had to keep listening until the end, it was so gripping.

I've absolutely loved this whole China Thriller series although I did feel the material becoming a bit thin on this last episode. It began to feel a bit repetitive and predictable but I carried on to the end, as the characters and style of writing had become familiar and comfortable like putting on an old pair of shoes. The narrator Peter Forbes was superb.

This is the second time I have enjoyed this book. It is some time back when I first read it. I couldn't remember all the story, only the basics, plus for some reason I hadn't left a review, big mistake, I should have. The second time round has released my stunted memory of this well crafted book. I was well and truly inside this book watching them with my own eyes. Highly recommend this book that is made even better with Peter Forbes the narrator. Love Peter May 's books narrated Peter Forbes
