Being kidnapped by aliens is only the start of Jade's problems. Thankfully, her rescuers, an alien race known as the Clecanians, are willing to protect her, but she has to stay on their planet for one year and respect the rules of their culture - including choosing a husband. Jade refuses at first but decides to play along until she can find a way back to Earth.

Theo, a scarred mercenary who prefers a life of solitude, is stunned when Jade selects him as her husband. After years of being passed over, he never imagined he would be chosen and neither did anyone else. Only one explanation makes sense...the curvy enticing female must be a spy, and Theo's determined to break her cover using any means necessary.

As Jade and Theo are forced to spend time together, their chemistry becomes undeniable. But neither can afford to bring love into the equation, especially since Jade seems determined to go home. After all, she can't possibly stay here, right?

4.2⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️& 2 🌶️🌶️. First of all, yay for a curvy redhead FMC! I am starting to love these sci-fi Alien smut fests. The mystery/allure of another race and their…. Potential is always delicious. This has a major primal kink theme… My only gripe was when Theo started calling Jade “wife” during intimate moments. That was a little odd for me but I suppose it aligns with the customs we were introduced to of the clecanians. I loved how Theo’s occupation became relevant at the end. I listened to the audiobook and Im usually not the biggest plan of singular narration but Stephen Dexter was absolutely phenomenal. I loved it! Lollll at the alien gender reveal at the end.

now this is not my usual kind of book and I enjoyed it from the start.
at the beginning of the book it was giving so much detail into what was happening so u really got a feel like you was there that I was worried it was going to rush the ending but nope there is an independent story of jade's kidnapping to a new planet and a great indepth description of the slow burn love story between jade and theo.
I am definitely going to try the next series.
the narrator also did a great job and made this book easy to follow.

I wasn't so sure at first but as I kept reading I couldn't get enough it I fell In love with the book I wish I knew what happened to them tho and the baby

I wish the author had more of an effort in creating a language for the alien race instead of making them speak clear English. However that did not take away from the story. Extremely inter and loved listening to the book.

OMG, big mistake starting this book an hour before I had to get to work. Spent all day longing to listen to more. Managed a little lunchtime listen and just now finished.
🥰 absolutely loved the story, humour and narrator. MOST definitely worth the credit 🤗

Yes I know its a cheesy trope Aliens abducting women to save their species . But this one was done with plenty of action and a massive dollop of humour that made me actually laugh out loud 😆.
I loved the choosing where gorgeous guys are paraded in front of assembled females to choose a husband as men outnumber women 20 to one.
The story is fast pace with a lot of action and the sex scenes are hot.
I must praise the narrator Stephen Dexter he really pulled it off,having to be both the hero and the heroine various bad guys an old man and even Theos sister ! Bravo. Great fun.

I was nearly put off by other comments about the narrator but I found it more than acceptable. Obviously alien kidnaps human is not a new idea but this book has more to offer than just that. Funny moments, lots of tender moments and I fell in love with the characters. World building was good. Finished book in 24 hours couldn't put it down. Now on to book 2.

Don't usually do alien 👽 themes but so glad I did
