About this listen

the book itself is really good.
What made it so much better is the lovely voice of the narrator.

Inspiring descriptions and characters laced with fabulously narrated recipes. Very sad but many memorable moments. a great book.

Wonderful story.

This book is all about Tita. Tita starts out age 15 and has fallen in love with herself but pretends she’s in love with Pedro. She is so entitled that she never realises her self-deception, seemingly unable to grow up. The toe curling account of Tita’s disastrous love life, from which she retreats into the bolt-hole of the kitchen, vies with her catastrophic Mexican recipes as the most disastrous aspect of the novel.

Excruciating story of the entitled Tita
