لا أحد يعرف بالضبط متى بدأت الحكاية، كل ما يعيه الأحياء هنا أنهم أبناء النور... عباد الإله الأوحد، ساكني أرض رينجار التي سميت على اسم أبيهم الأول جار.

تتوسط رايتهم البيضاء دائرة مطلية باللون الأصفر كما الدائرة التي تنير أرضهم دوما بلا اختفاء أو غروب فتحييها وتحييهم؛ (نيبرا)، لذا عرفوا بأبناء النور.

تنتهي حدود أرضهم ناحية الغرب والجنوب ببحر محيط لم يعبره أحد قبلا ورجع، أو هكذا يشاع، ويحيط بهم من الشرق والشمال سلاسل من الجبال العظيمة.

تفصلهم عن أرض الديجور في الشرق التي يطلق ساكنوها عليها (نيرفور)، وتفصلهم عن موطن الحكماء في الشمال الذي يُعبر إليه عن طريق ممر الهلاك (ساليچيا) ...
