About this listen
Are you ready for the end? An ancient tomb is unearthed live on cable TV after months of hype. It's billed as the archeological equivalent of Shark Week. The actual footage takes a turn no one ever expected. Those minutes of footage will be combed over by governments worldwide seeking to understand what horror came out of that tomb.
They watched the news for weeks as an infection spread quickly across the globe. The videos posted online of people ripping into each other like cannibals on PCP were unreal. The support from the authorities was a joke. No one had a plan in place for this. At least not a plan that involved saving everyone....
Join a tight knit family of outcasts who'll do anything for one another as they battle their way through this freak show. A reality where might makes right and the only thing worse than running out of food and water is running out of ammunition.

Fantastic first part with a lot of possibilities
I've truly found a love for Zombie based audio books in the last few years, but it's becoming harder and harder to find a story that keeps me gripped. We've probably all come across those stories where characters are all the same or descriptions lead to a confusing image in your brain. Thankfully I stumbled upon this hidden Gem!
Crawlerz is a story that truly hits the mark for a good Zombie thriller book. We don't jump into day one right away. Which for me was a welcomed change. it gave me a chance to meet the characters In their natural world.
I struggled not to care about each of the 3 main protagonists. Their personalities differences really came forward in the audiobook, which just helped build these well rounded characters.
The audio of this story is excellently performed by the narrator Elliot Bales. He clearly takes his time to understand the context of what the characters are saying and builds his narration around this. This makes for an excellent listen and leaves me waiting to hear what the next character is about to say.
It won't be the longest audiobook you'll come across. But it has a quality that a lot lack these days. I definitely want to follow this family more, I already feel like I know them so well so I can't wait to see how their skills help them.
This story has the potential to go so far and I'm really excited to get into the next one. It's definitely worth getting if you're a fan of the genre!

Intense, emotional, epic
Fantastic zombie fiction. I've listened to a lot in this genre and I think this hidden gem takes the top spot for me. I got invested in the characters quickly and the build up to the infection reaching them is brilliant. The zombies are fast and powerful and terrifying! Narration fits perfectly. Definitely worth a go!

Worth a credit but the narration held it back
This was a decent first book. A much more popular narrator would of made this book experience better.
I'm not sure if I will continue to the next book. If it's a slow release week on Audible , I might take a punt at book 2.
