About this listen
They were powerful and ruthless, but they made one mistake. His name is Breed. Danger Close is the first in the stunning Breed action thriller series. Perfect for fans of Lee Child, Jason Kasper and David Archer.
Ex-Delta Force sniper Breed has spent most of his life at war, and now he’s trying to make some time for peace. But when a veteran from his old unit is murdered in El Paso, Breed feels duty-bound to bring the killer to justice. A feeling that only grows stronger when his friend’s widow and son are also murdered. As he uses all his specialist skills to uncover the truth, Breed finds himself working with some unlikely allies - a devious CIA operative and a determined Latina reporter. Together, they uncover a conspiracy to launch a massive attack on US soil. The terrorists are confident - they have powerful friends in the Mexican cartels and US law enforcement. But they have reckoned without one thing - Breed.

Hardcore action
The book hooks you in as you have to get justice as much as the main character. It doesn’t disappoint!

It’s almost fantastic.
Cameron Curtis can write, that’s for sure, though there were a few things that I felt uncomfortable with. That aside the first 1/3 of the book was pretty solid will excellent narration that really pushed the narrative along. It was the perfect voice for this story. All in all a big recommend from me. It reminded me in some ways of No Country for Old Men… which I suppose is no bad thing.

Brilliant book
Came across this unexpectedly on audible plus while looking for something new to read before my next credit came in. Really great storyline - good characters, poignant in a way you don’t find often with this genre. You can really feel the emotions and imagine the scenes playing out. Loved it - will definitely continue the series!

Excellent story line!
This is the first book I have 'read' by Cameron Curtis but it certainly won't be the last! Excellent and believable story line, with twists and turns throughout.

Well Written Thriller
Fast paced and well-narrated: good manly voice to fit the protagonist.
Approve of the 'clarity' of fighting the evil of the Mohamedan upbringing.
If it was one of our British writers, they [Socialistically] would blur the real fountain of hate and violence that comes from that culture. I prefer the truth to be portrayed, on this front.
Nevertheless, we have the whole gamut of nasty types, in this story!
