Summary
Blair Mason was a woman with a one-track mind, and that track was work. From sunrise to sundown, all she thought about was how to keep her small town grocery store open. That meant hard decisions, the type Blair was in the midst of making when she was rudely interrupted by a tall man. A tall, handsome man. Oh, there were things other than work after all!
Daxton Holt thought getting his honey on Mason's shelves would be simple. Walk in, flash a smile, and fill out some paperwork. But this owner was something else. She saw right through his charms, pushing him to really sell his product. He liked that, and he liked her. A feisty little minx is sweeter than any honey his bees made.

This short story was simple and straight forward. I found the relationship between the main characters, Daxton and Blair, to be believable despite the limited amount of page time that they had. The villains in the story were one dimensional but at the same time easy for the listener to picture. The world building was rather basic and I wanted a bit more in that regard. Also, this was supposed to be a BBW story but there are no mentions of the woman’s size in the text.
I enjoyed the narration of this story. Meghan Kelly’s pace for it was great. She delivers the lines without any hesitation. She even uses three voices for her performance. There was one for both Daxton and Blair as well as one for the basic story narrative. My biggest complaint about her performance is that I would have liked more acting to go along with those voices.

Great characters
I really enjoyed this book. Withstood storyline and characters that are interesting it’s winner. A brilliant performance from Meghan.
