Sookie Stackhouse is a small-town cocktail waitress in small-town Louisiana. She's pretty. She does her job well. That's not exactly every man's idea of date bait - unless they're undead - vampires and the like can be tough to read. And that's just the kind of guy Sookie's been looking for.

I can't help but enjoy these. Love Sookie's quirky ways and her honest dialogue. I find myself walking down the street and grinning as Sookie conveys her thoughts in her unique style. Good fun stuff - hardly literary genious, but 4 books read, and I'm about to download the fifth in the series. Just wish they were all bundled together so the story would be more cost effective!

Eric the Viking thrills

Sookie is still reeling from her betrayal by Bill and is therefore a little vulnerable at the moment. Bill has been sent away on business and she is left alone. On her way home from work she comes across a naked Eric who is running towards her house. Stunned she takes him in and what follows is a wonderfully entertaining story of how, why and what to do about this situation as Eric dosen't seem to know who he is. On top of this Jason has also disappeared. I already own all the books but this one was one of my favourites and thought it would be great to have it on audio, I wasn't disappointed - the narration is wonderful she gets the 'voice' of Sookie just how I imagined her.
