Alex Preston is invited to spend a few days on a private island owned by an old college friend. The next day he finds that his friend has gone away on business leaving Alex stranded. The couple (original caretakers) have gone missing. Two men turn up thinking Alex was Lawrence his old friend. They have guns and mean business. These men are not the only ones Alex has to contend with, there are ghosts and dead bodies. Will Alex become one of the ghostly residence or will he manage to get off the island? This book and the narrator in particular had me gripped so much that I listened in one sitting.

Not a place you want to visit!Well written ,short book.A friend invites a man to come spend time on his newly purchased island.When he wakes up,the island owner is gone on business.With only the reluctant staff couple to talk to,a hike is on the to do list.No move is a good move. Howard J. Davey was a fine narrator.I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review.'

A short story that has quite a few elements from ghosts to ruthless thugs. Narration very good and overall I did enjoy listening to this book.

Another great book by Geoffrey. The narrator was great. You get sucked in from the beginning.
This is very suspenseful and surprising. I really had no idea what was coming next.

Similar to Mr Sleight's other short ghost stories, although this one does contain some suspense, with an exciting manhunt thrown in for good measure .

Howard J Davey, made this a very scary listen. If you want a ghost story , that is fast paced and will keep you stuck to your seat, this is it. I had to listen in the day time. Great twists and turns and enough scary bits..... daytime....
