About this listen
After the drama in Biggleswade, our crime-busting duo head to York for the annual Yorkshire pudding competition and a well-earned rest....
Well, fat chance of that, because they interrupt a violent robbery before they can even get to the venue.
When Albert realizes he’s stumbled across something much bigger than a random mugging, he decides, for once, to leave the crime-solving to the locals. Fate, however, laughs at his plans, thrusting him and faithful canine companion, Rex Harrison, into the thick of things just as the first body is found.
Is the coveted prize for the best Yorkshire pudding driving the competitors to the most extreme lengths? Will the team attempting to break the world record for the biggest Yorkshire pudding succeed, or is someone trying to scupper their chances? One thing is for sure - one body always leads to another.
There’s mystery afoot, and Rex has his nose to the ground. He’ll solve the crime to be sure, but will he be able to lead the humans to the criminals in time?
Don’t miss out! Grab your copy now and join the adventure as Rex and Albert take on their craziest mystery yet!
Baking. It can get a guy killed.

A great culinary caper.
Albert and Rex are meeting Albert's son Gary and they're going to watch the people make the biggest record breaking Yorkshire Pudding. But on the way Albert witnesses a crime and the culprit Rex is desperate to sink his teeth in to.
But someone is trying to scupper the record attempt and its lucky for the contestants in the Yorkshire pudding contest that Albert and his clever dog are there to help.
A great story and the narrator is perfect for Albert.

England or not?
I wish that Mr Fox would check technical pronunciations; "hyperbole" is pronounced hyperbollee, not hyperbowl as used twice in this novel.
"Dove" is acceptable if you like US terminology, but "dived" is correct English. Such a shame, throughout this "Culinary" series, particularly as the locations are in the UK!
Also, too many inappropriate breaks in sentences where there is clearly no comma.

Listening tthis made me crave Yorkshire Pudding!!!
Another great story by Steve Higgs! This author has so many awesome stories locked in his head just fighting to be let out! Not one is samey or boring. I love this one because Albert is finally catching on that Rex is not just talking to him but he's a darn good police dog as well! Loads of mayhem and great sleuthing by both human and dog. As always, fab narration by Charles Robert Fox.
