Summary
In 1995, 12-year-old Sidney Parsons was savagely murdered by two boys his own age. No reason was ever given for this terrible crime, and the 'Demonic Duo' who killed him were imprisoned until their release in 2002, when they were given new identities and lifetime anonymity.
Online journalist Scott King investigates the lead-up and aftermath of the killing, uncovering dark and fanciful stories of demonic possession, and encountering a village torn apart by this unspeakable act. But soon King himself becomes a target, with secrets from his own past dredged up and threats escalating to a terrifying level. It becomes clear that whatever drove those two boys to kill is still there, lurking, and the campaign of horror has just begun....

fabulous
Really enjoyed this book. it flowed nicely, slowly revealing a little more of the story whilst still leaving parts to your imagination. the ending tied it all up beautifully. There were some shocking parts and some that were truly frightening. The narration is first class almost like listening to a radio play. My next listen is definitely going to be another in the series.

Another Outstanding Story
Listened to this in the course of a day. As well written and thought provoking as all the previous Six Stories. The format is brilliant, and lends itself to the Audible platform perfectly. I would recommend this to anyone who enjoys a complex story and clever writing. Also, praise as well for the cast, the narration was excellent.

Fantastic end to one of the best series I’ve had the pleasure of reading!
Absolutely gutted that this series has come to an end, I’ve thoroughly enjoyed every minute of listening! Cannot recommend enough and I only hope Matt revisits the world of Scott King once again down the line.

Outstanding
The author has truly outdone himself this time. The performance and story was structured and brilliant. The voice actors were so good I'm loading it up to listen again.
It often saddens me that's people's understanding of Christianity is so lacking. Men make bad things happen in the name of religion - but they are just men. I think the ignorance comes from what the media tells people though and they take these opinions on without evaluation. I know because I used to do that.
Authors and editors should check info around born again Christians using priests and exorcists! This did make me laugh!
The end of the last chapter has a warning to consider and not pass judgement without having all of the info. I this this a wise message. Bless you Matt.
