Zwei Zeichnungen nämlich gibt es, die - zusammengesetzt - den geheimen Fundort des Schatzes bezeichnen. Der Rote Cornel, der auch vor Diebstahl und feigem Mord nicht zurückschreckt, ist in den Besitz dieser Zeichnungen gekommen. Mit einer Gruppe von Banditen macht auch er sich nun auf den Weg zum Silbersee. Dort kommt es schließlich zum Showdown zwischen den beiden Parteien. Wird es Winnetou und Old Shatterhand gelingen, das Böse zu besiegen?
