About this listen

The general story seems nice and the narrator performs well. So this book would should be really great. But somehow it isn't. It's not the story itself (which really seems to be a great idea), but somehow the way it is written isn't my cup of tea.
I don't know if it was written originally in German (and I'm too lazy to find out), but I wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't. Because this is exactly how it feels - great story, well narrated, but somehow you don't fall in love with the book, like it typically happens if it was translated. Like when you read (or listen to a book) and it is "hmmm" and as soon as you read it in it's original version/( language you fall in love, bei Auseinandersetzungen somehow it just didn't feel right because it was translated well, judging by if both version have the same content, but was translated badly judging by what atmosphere, what mood it creates,

While I won't recommend this book to anyone, I will definitely look for other books by the same narrator.

Could have been so much better
